WCAG 2.1 Level AA Conformance
LaunchPath Careers conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA success criteria. We also meet the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and strive to be usable by people with all abilities, including those who use assistive technologies.
Accessibility Features
Color Contrast
All text meets or exceeds 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background, ensuring readability for users with low vision or color deficiency.
Keyboard Navigation
Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard. Focus indicators are visible, and modals trap focus appropriately.
Screen Reader Support
Semantic HTML landmarks, ARIA labels, live regions, and descriptive alt text provide a complete experience for screen reader users.
Error Announcements
Form errors and status messages are announced to assistive technology via live regions and role=alert attributes.
Standards We Follow
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. § 794d)
- ADA Title III — Americans with Disabilities Act (nondiscrimination in public accommodations)
- WAI-ARIA 1.2 — Accessible Rich Internet Applications specification
Measures We Have Taken
- • Structural landmarks and skip-navigation links on every page
- • Proper heading hierarchy (h1 → h2 → h3) across all views
- • Form labels explicitly associated with inputs via htmlFor/id
- • aria-expanded, aria-controls, and role attributes on interactive widgets
- • Progress bars with role=progressbar and aria-valuenow/min/max
- • Global focus-visible outline for all focusable elements
- • Color contrast audited via axe-core automated testing
- • All images have descriptive alt text; decorative icons are aria-hidden
- • Inline links distinguishable by underline, not color alone
- • Escape key dismisses all modals and mobile navigation menus

This website was evaluated using a combination of automated testing (axe-core WCAG 2.1 AA / Section 508 rule set) and manual review (keyboard navigation, screen reader walkthrough, color contrast verification). Testing was performed across all public-facing pages and authenticated dashboard views.
